Thanks to chris (deliverance), for this gem, which has been on my wants list from day one. Mesh, in australia, offered me one, which didn`t work, and, was in poor condition. This one, thanks to chris, is fully working, and, in lovely condition, for it`s age. Before i get pm`s, about selling/trading. I learned my mistake, from the silver bombeat 40. This, is staying put.

You wouldn`t believe, how i have searched for one of these chris. This one, is a credit to you mate. I wouldn`t even attempt to change the belts on it.

It is hugo. The build quality, is stunning. The late 70`s, was a golden era, for this stuff.

aiwa boxes in general are built well and sound good they cram allot inside there boxes .

All i`ve done, is, bought a silver marker pen, and, gone over the mic covers, as, the black was showing through. Silver marker pens, are a must, for any boombox owner.

Yep. Silver tip bison . I`ve used it on loads of boxes. The silver, on the vu`s, on my trk8180, was very faded. Silver marker, like new.

Yeap  silver (and white sometimes) permanent marker does the job well.

after painting with the marker a hair dryer so that you can dry it quick

and after that a layer with clear nail  polish product (usually found from you wife,mom sis etc!!)

I actually did that with the Lasonic logo at the 909.

I wouldn`t, personally, go that far deech. Just silver marker, is enough for me.

Not my cuppa rich...bet she sounds nice though mate......i have quit with boxes lad......taking aload to the dump working or not......just keeping my kabooms and crown 970.....would you like to see inside the crown rich.....she is in bits at the moment......the speakers and magnets dwarf the m90......doubt i'll trade this for any box now i have seen inside......basic inside but i bet it;s as good as the bombeat 40 deffo as good as the m90 apart from the basic deck but still she is semi soft operation...... took her aprt cuz one of the speakers was rattling......like i thought the speaker was just loose.....and also im gunna put much better tweeters in her lad......once again congrat's on your aiwa son

Here you go hugo. I`ve snapped it outside, to avoid any furnishing flashes. Though, i can still hear AO saying "oh oh, dodgy table, dodgy fencing alert". This box, has 4 speakers, like the sony cf580. Not quite as classy as the 580 though.

Nah, not at all.  As I said before, I'll stop coating your furnishings off if you stop having a go at me about it.  Let's move on, eh?

One thing I will say is that this box has been on the top of my wanted list for as long as I can remember.

I`m not promising cris lad, but, i`ll try my best. These, seem to be very thin on the ground.

Sounds nice as well bison. The 4 speakers, make a big difference to the sound. You get a really weird effect.
