Got this Rare Black Beauty from Korea in 3 days for great price. Packing was ok but no damage so that was cool. I believe this is from late 80's early 90's and similar to C126 but stripped down.

I had to clean up and add a tuner needle because it had none. The top deck had new belt already so I just cleaned,lubed and demagnetized head. Bottom deck needed cleaning and lube but belts were new. I also demagnetized head and cleaned pinch roller.

AM/FM stereo get great reception and this beast sounds amazing. I also had to repair a couple broken wires on right side led output meter and chrome all shined up beautifully. Heck even some of the clear plastic protectant was on face still. This baby is back to fully working and super clean 100% great shape!!!!

Midrange is fake, just a chrome cap. As for manufacturer name I don't know. The tag on back is in Korean. The model is PS-999. I'm trying to find out what is name. Thanks for all the positive comments. Oh and actually this unit is more like the Conion C126 because of rectangular grills, just stripped down.

nice score bb.....i nearly bagged one of those a while back, if it sounds anything like the conion c-126 then it's a true winner,they did do the 126 in black but never seen one for sale

Stereo mad I don't know manufacturer but model on this is PS-999. It's actually not a C126 but a later built Korean model similar and totally stripped. It doesn't even have a tape counter which is ver rare for such a large box. As for sound I love it has great bass and highs!!!!

I don't have pic of inside but it does have piezo tweeter and only chrome cap in place of midrange.

Am simply fascinated by the configuration of the speaker's is all.

PS-999 Unknown Brand has speakers; Woofer & Piezo Tweeter (Silver Cap No/Speaker-Midrange)

Conion C-126F has speakers; Woofer & Midrange cones, (has hole for tweeter w/None installed)

TC-999 Conion Technisonic has 3 speakers; Woofer Midrange cones + Piezo Tweeter! TC-999 similar to the C-135F . FL model;

as seen in the pdf brochure below.

Yeah I have to reopen in week or so to put new tuner needle in out of TC999 and paint the speaker grills so hopefully I will remember and take pics for ya.
