wow nice box the 838 deech enjoy 

I have two of them (one would get lonely) and i reckon they are just about the best looking box of all. They sound lovely too. Proper 70's machinery!

not being a big jvc fan i gotta say though i do love the look of the 838, them needle vu's are among the best on any radio congrats on scoring a real gem Deech

The JVC RC838 means  alot to me

as i wanted to have a box from

the year i was born !

Now this one right here it has an issue

(which Jens mentioned it to me, not to be misundestood)

with the sound that its not getting loud so

by the end of the week i ll take it to my technician

to have a look at it .

The deck, the phono out and the radio are fully working

and its in a great cosmetic condition.

So after this PANFAN i ll make a review for you!

If someone has a service manual or a user manual for it

please PM me to make the work of the technician easier !

congrats deech,  the 838 is an amazing machine, tho the sound is a bit shy, the looks and size is just right,  i love the feeling of the volume slider pure quality.

Nice to see you finally received your beautiful looking JVC 838 deech does do it much justice in a warmer climate as it's freezing in ontario right about now -18 with windchill,
