Yes the SK series is notorious for being difficult to repair. If and when you get the time I'd love to see more of it. I hope you get the cassette deck sorted out soon....

This pic is interesting, never seen these four next to eachother like this. Clearly all these Sanyo's are from the same period as you can see the similarities. Look at the switch/VU layout of the 920 compared to the 9998.
