Saturday evening I saw this box on a local auction site. Didn't have to think twice before jumping in the car cause the guy was only asking 50 euros for it...

Next morning I thought I a had a special gold edition , but it had just an extreme nicotine stain over it...

Sunday cleaned the box and changed the three belts and now its up and running again. Added some shots from the inside too...

Nice find and looks in good condition too and all for 50 euros...result!!

I'm guessing you work in a school, otherwise you're getting very confused how your furniture works...the chairs go on the floor mate not on the table

Yep that place is some kind of workshop. Its closed on Sundays so ideal for some boombox projects... Especially for sound testing... The box is louooood...

It is indeed a very easy box to work on! I like the internal design! But the belts were a real mess... Some sort inverted vulcanization process had taken place inside the box..

It's a Crown CSC-980L btw...

The vu meter next to the radio scale isn't a vu meter. It shows the signal strength or the frequency of the selected preset! So nice this analog box actually has four radio presets!.. In the pic its tuned to FM 107,5...
