robb - 2013-05-15 19:21
Went to a few estate sales last weekend and found this rare Toshiba mini compo RT-SX700 I dont know what year it is from but probably mid 1980's.
No info on google either. It is in near mint condition.

great scores robb, the 550 looks amazing.
let me know if you want to get rid of it.

What a pair of gems. The 550 is one very early solid lump of a box, these were changing hands for £150 about 5 years ago. The Tosh is interesting, very similar to the Sony CFS-9000

The pics show up small on the forum. You have to right click and open them in new window to make them bigger.

Now only saw the Toshiba in detail
Is it Piano Black on the face?
With Vertical LED VU Meter?
Have Passive woofer on the rear?
And all for 10
Please post a video please!
There were similar Mitsubishi and Akai Mini combos in the good old golden times.

I used a soft car detailing brush and quick detailing spray wax. It is safe on car paint so it's safe on this.
Use 75% alochol and qtip for stubborn spots.
