So I've never found anything at a car boot sale that was worth taking home...all modern junk! But today at last I found one!!!

The seller had it on top of his van playing radio. I asked him how much and he said it wasn't for sale!! He'd bought it the week before from the trader opposite to use. Well I wandered off but wasn't happy with that so I went back. Told him all about being a mad collector and offered to double his money. Eventually he gave in and let me have it! He didn't even take out the 8 Duracell Procell batteries that were in it!

So it was a bit more than I wanted to pay but I was determined to come home from a car boot with a box at last!

Now all cleaned and serviced, of course it had the gooey capstan but I've done plenty of those. So now it's 100% working and for a smaller box it kicks a reasonable amount of butt. Just a couple of light scuffs on the top rail but pretty minty otherwise. So in well chuffed to get my first car boot box!!!

Cracking find!

I'm still dreaming of the day I eventually find anything decent at a car boot!

Saying that, there's a massive one on down the road from me tomorrow. I might have a quick wander around before MotoGP starts!

I was dreaming too...that's why I'm so chuffed to find one. It's not a grail but still it's a nice looking and sounding box. Not seen many 6363's about

great find Si has shades of the 8989 to it, only top controls and nicer chrome speaker surrounds. good on ya mate

arrive stupid early and i promise you will get one. ive bought loads at bootys. a quick wander at 10am wont get you results

Thanks mate. Does seem a little rare...I watch out for GF's on eBay but not sure I've seen a 6363 before. Doesn't seem much info on the web either. Nice to have a likely rare one especially if it looks and sounds good

Good find Northerner, it's always a great feeling when you find one in the wild. The hunt is almost as good as the find for me sometimes lol.

Yeh I know the theory of its better to get there early it's just the practice I struggle with...I even plan to get up early its just that when it comes to it I just can't be arsed getting out of my nice comfy bed lol

your motivation si.....just imagine your dream box,sat there forlorn and waiting just for you....thats what i do,trouble is i whip myself up into such a two and eight that i dont sleep the night before

its all about peeling the covers back,getting up and out before you change your mind and want to go back to bed!just be prepared to do battle with other collectors,or get to know your fellow collectors at the bootsale,i did and we are now great mates and dont tread on each others toes so much

Thanks, its a nice looking smaller box and not very common. Won't deafen you but looks very nice by my desk at work...gets used every day.

Just looked up when the decent car boot starts and it's not until March...I still won't manage the early starts tho lol
