A new box arrived yesterday. Cant find much about it, so definitely no grail. Its large, sized between the TRC-931 and M70. It has big 8" woofers. Its also no heavy weight. Similar to the big black empty ones, only in silver  Looked inside and its branded Corona in there.

Sound is quit good. It has the real 8" bass and lots of highs. It doesn't go loud, but compensates that with a very nice low bass at low volume. It takes 9 D-cells and has the similar setup as Lasonic. A fixed power cord with an AC/DC switch. Also the same design flaw; the batteries jump out as soon the cover is opened.

Sadly with this example the VU's aren't working properly and two chrome knobs are missing. But the rest is working great. Its a nice box for 25 euros.

Does anyone have one or know it?

I think I discovered a new grail here!  It looks pretty cool between my other radios, it's so amazingly shiny silver. Really stands outa! Wel, got a better find tomorrow for you guys, at least if the postman shows up

For me it takes about six days to get a package from Germany. Same as from uk. And I'm in between you and your Goldstar 

Yeah, the tracking lags behind often. Many times it says it's still in the German export office while the postman is standing for my door with the package  Guess it flies over me then

Again the local auction site indeed. Not real auctions there btw. One can bid, but you are not committed to buy the item and the seller determines whenever he wants to end the bidding. It's the wild west lol

@ stereo, yes my collection is growing! Im comsiderring to let it cool down a bit to specialize in one theme. I'm at the point I'm running out of space lol  Problem that I like all my radios and I actually play with all of them, so is going to be hard to get rid of some of them  Getting real close to 70 now

That's so true. I want to see my boomboxes and grab one randomly if I want to play. I have them in my living room stacked agains the wall, so they don't take too much space. But my wall is near full and really have to make a selection if I want to buy more of them. Im already skipping a lot of opportunuties for new boxes by being picky. But im glad the expensive season is starting 

I got one box as "investment" stacked away; a new boxed sks-757. Just to see what will happen when Im very old

70! Thats impressive! hope you don't have to get rid of too many though, specialy if you use them a lot, must be nice just to dip into a collection like that randomly. What do you think you will specialise in ?

I really like the JVCs I got, so Im hoping to get the series complete at one time. They feel like my kind of box  This week I started with buying a M50. My first box that comes from outside of Europe

As you are probably beggining to realise I love JVC!!  If you managed to get the whole series that would, in my book be ultra cool!! Good luck with your quest!

PS, the M-50 is a nice box, if I remember correctly it had an interseting feature; a variable "bucket" brigade echo device built in. That is probably going to be fun!
