Had a little fun with one of my JVC's Came out pretty cool!!

Looks cool in white! If I ever find a beat up 70 this is gona be a nice project! Well done!

I was thinking of a white D8614 some weeks ago  But there are a lot of prints on the box and that's makes things rather complicated

Make sure when you spray to clean with dawn. Paint the JVC logo if it needs to be painted black first. Put elmers glue in the J.V.C. let it dry then spray black over it. The glue comes right off clean when it is dried. Also be sure to use primer for plastic first or use paint for plastic.

That looks so cool  and now you've made it unique. I've ot to have a go at this myself!

very nice job there, looking good! I'm looking to paint a box soon so thanks for the tip about the elmers glue, I was wondering how to mask off awkward areas or maybe the print I want to keep that Michiel mentioned!

Paint that i used is Krylon for plastic it will say "for plastic" on the can. Regular paint will just run. Rust-oleum has a primer for plastic too.

When you take it apart you can clean it with a small paint brush (wet). Clean around the speaker with a dry paint brush. The front grill comes off easy when hot water is ran on it to paint grill black.

 I added the red around speakers to bring out the blue and painted the bottom red too. I will make that my signature - red rim and red bottom!!

Why did you leave the tweeters silver? Would make them white too
