For those who fear that analog audio will eventually fade away...take heart my friends, cuz even in this digital-everything crazy world...ANALOG does in fact live on, even lending support to the almighty iPod (and cd, mp3, etc.) too! Yes friends, just as the cassette will never die, valves (aka tubes) live on...faithfully reproducing music as only they can do...with all the warmth, richness of tone, clarity of detail, and depth for which tube-amplification is reknown the world over!

Although not an entirely new concept (this has been done before) the link below details the latest product developed that bridges the gap between analog and digital music reproduction. Enter ALFiE, by Roth Audio (UK).

Unfortunately, the fact that this product is to be carried by Toronto's Bay-Bloor Radio means that it will very likely come with a substantial price tag (the cost of this product has cleverly been left out of all the promo material that I've read so far. Oh well, in the world of audio, it is a well know fact that you get what you pay for. Some things really don't change over time, after all.
