Like my friend here sez,"...need more
INPUT!"
I didn't realize that Blaupunkt were still in business...they used to be fairly popular here, known and repsected manufacturer of highend gear. Can you offer any details on the Velocity?
blaupunkt has had a line of volocity speakers and amplifiers for car audio for at least 10 years here in america. nice sounding stuff .
Good input!
Thanks djyetix, much appreciated.
has anybody heard one? looks very clever..
pity about the dumb shape though
I tested one out at low volumes at a local electronics store.
Was very deep in the bass department at low volumes. Sounded quite good. They're marketing it towards drivers here in germany, as you can stick it in the trunk of the car and pump it up. Its very loud I believe.
Personaly, I like it.
i think its pretty cool
S2G should private label these. All we'd have to do is change the "velocity" to Stereo, and we're good 2GO!
I know I should Ned, but I don't hate it. Just wish it had a tape player, as if that will happen again anytime soon...

Specs look really good,
Would love to hear one in action before dropping close to 4 bills on one tho!!
An iPod amplifier????
No thanks, Too much futuristic for me...
How in the heck can you get 160 Watts out of just a couple of AA migon batteries? This looks too good on paper to be true.

It doesn't put out 160 watts on batteries, running on the batteries cuts the output by more than 60%. Keep in mind that amplifier technology is more advanced now than 30 years ago and can be far more efficient depending on the type of amplifier they use.
Here are Blaupunkts specs on power:
Max. Power 160 Watts (60 Watts when operated on rechargeable batteries)
RMS Power 80 Watts (30 Watts when operated on reachargeable batteries
Frequency range: 40 - 25,000 Hz (full range mode)/ 40 -120 Hz (subwoofer mode)

If anybody wants the 5 inch version (model 2 go 5) I may be able to get one brand new for you for $125 plus shipping. Let me know and I'll see what I can do, the sooner the better though.

Oh, Now I see. Thanks for clearing that up. It makes much more sense now.

To bad they made it an oval aluminum case, this would have been a great idea with the right look and functionality.
Just adding a built in AM/FM tuner would have made a big difference. Well a different look would have helped tremendously as well.
