Let the music play
.
Wow, that´s real great pics.
In our company the most would be stolen.
So nobody takes such nice boxes to work.
Here exists only trash...
The first and the last one would be interesting for saving. And looking in good condition.
Shame about the damaged moving sound, would be quiet rare.
Thanks for sharing
Thx Roman and the one in the last picture has been saved
.
Well done!
And since yesterday we have one mor box together!
I only say "6D"...
Short trip to the wasteflea.
ALBA karaoke machine:
PANASONIC ,modern one:
Unknown label:
PROFEX , ugly egg, very damaged
Same in base as ALBA with IBBN 7-13121
Label:
I was looking for a cheap stereo for the working area from a friends car repair.
Then i found this one, label in base unknown
NAN HO (NH-9000), must be a chinese machine
It´s a boombox, no question.
A extendable handle at the top and too sad: The speakers missing
It owns many functions and the quality tastes quiet good. Clock, title search, 10x equalizer,... Rare for chinese machines...
To sad about the speakers. So not worth to save.
Label:
But the hammer is:
This box is not plastifico. The whole body is made of wood!!
The backside of hardpaper!
From behind it looks like an antique tuberadio.
But it owns a big battery storage
Very strange find...
Another flea day, another shots
HCM in front, any TELEFUNKEN in back:
AUDIOTON taperecorder:
PHILIPS SuperTandem:
I was near to take it, but isolator42 would know why i left it. All sliders are broken and missing. Too sad...
GRUNDIG 435 stereo:
smashed SANWA and ugly NAKIMURA:
And one new for the base!
The label CLUB is already known, but without pic. So this will be the first
CLUB 2050:
And this is a.... feared dealer:
Today was many police at the flea. Many stolen electrics are sold here. But only the ugly eggs and something else.
But i must laugh, nobody would steal his trash or think it was stolen. Ok, maybe from the dump...
But this are the problems you must live with, as boombox-reporter.
Another day at flea.
So a few shots.
PHILIPS compactline 8110:
Never thought i will see again a WORLD´s WAVE:
MAXIMAL 5002 with TV: (in base with 1 pic)
Lost both speakers at your PHILIPS?
Then take this ones:
price dumping at a ARISTONA (not in base):
And at a café i´ve seen this pretty SEEBURG jukebox:
It´s still working...
Found this one on a flea about a week ago:
Branded as MARK OA8084. In the base?
Here's a Soviet box currently on
eBay. In the BBDB?
I´ve not found both in the base.
The MARK is looking quiet similar to my STARLINE, but in silver it looks more solid.
The russian is also nice.
Would fit to my Lada.
Flea again...
SILVER mono:
FOSTEX multitracker:
Nice big PANASONIC
But for 30euro too expensive (and dirty)
POPPY, as "unknown" in base > it´s a CR-203!
nice old SANYO:
and finally a old NATIONAL PANASONIC GX300.
Not a boombox, but a rare old outdoor radio.
So the "warrior of the wasteland" saved it
The modern panasonic looks like a 680.
It worths mora than 30 if working (IMHO) ...
The GX-300 is a nice radio. I never heard it but it has 16 cm speaker and also aux in (or mic in .. or both ???), bass treble controls.
It most sound good.
Heres is a shot from the catalog 1974
Thank you "the great warrior of the ....." for save it the N/P GX300.
Please take care of him, it's a beautiful radio.
I have not seen so far that radio in a live.
It's posses the same speaker cover like N/P RF5310 on my avatar (and I supposed with the same quality of build).
@success: I think you are right. But i can´t save every box. I was near to take it...
And thanks for the explosion pic of the GX.
@toni: Special for you:
GX300
Seen in a Shoppingmall in hungary.
HAUSER , unknown label for the base:
Second ugly modern one
AEG:
And at the flea this old reel2reel, a russian (?) machine:
A few pics of the local netbasar
PHILIPS N2233:
MusiCorder MRC103:
NORDMENDE:
other NORDMENDE:
SHARP BSLT recordboomer:
CRAFTSMAN:
BARI CR7652:
Found this multi colored TELEFUNKEN RC760
and a TELECTRA ???
Wow, both are pretty ones!
I love the colorful TELEFUNKEN.
Great finds.

Today was the vienna-city-marathon.
So not many people at flea, but many sellers.
So i drove by scooter to the 10. district...
There i took this funny MUSIKLAND minibox for 1euro:
Tons of trash around, but the only box i´ve seen, this old HORNYPHON:
Hrmpf, this can´t be so!
So i drove to a second flea at 11. district.
It´s at a football-ground.
But this time it was 3x as big as it used to be.
Never seen so many dealers around.
And so i found many blastifico.
My shots in an other thread.
So go on...

AUDIOTON:
Pretty nice SONY:
Label?!?
nice little HORNYPHON 8860:
MEGATONE-INTERNATIONAL:
HITACHI P6:
finally this SOUND 4000:
Many chinese boxes were also around.
Most tiny 3-piecer with many LEDs in the scale.
Looking like a mix of a homestereo and a carradio. But they are boomboxes.
Try to take pics next time (very difficoult)...
Seen this GRACIA at ebay.
Tiny world receiver with tape player at the top

Hey Devol-toni, I've got a question for you. Does that TEC 4040 still work at all??? Because it looks like it can kick BUTT!!! It even has Metal Tape Capacity too. Looks like it's from the early 80's!!!

Hi KBallenger53,
The ansver for your question: The Tec 4040 (my scar-face box
, - couple of gash on the top side where is radio scale ), is in fully working condition.
After a lot of work for cleaning, I was wery surprised for fact that everything work perfectly. Only what is missing is a three plastic switchers - you can see that on the last pic.
Sound is good but no so much as I expected from that appearance. However this is my "scarface" and I love him.
The pics:
Hey, what happened to my words in my post above this one? Oh well, so much for modern technology, or it could've been human error (silly me).
But since Devol-toni calls it his Scarface Box, I was going to say: "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND"!!!
'NUFF SAID
So let the show go on.....

Not a boombox I know but came across these sansui sp 7500x speakers at a local thrift shop. They wanted $50 each so that detered me right away. They sure are impressive with the 16" woofer and 8" mid. Saw some on ebay and there seems to be interest in these, wonder if I should go back to get them?
If anyone locates a Panasonic RD-7490, give me a line, it was my first purchase in NY City back in 1969 and it was the very best. It has a single VU meter that monitors the signal from both channels, it is a 2 piece that folds in on 2 hinges located at the bottom of the 2 halves and cannot be used unless it is open. There is a tuner and all the connections and the cassette deck on the one half and the other half has the right speaker, storage and nothing else. The controls are all in the front of the left unit at the top. The tuning dial is round at about 2" in diameter. Tape transport buttons are on the outside, top left edge and the tape moves from right to left in the well. It is black almost completely except for the top inside front on both units which is covered with a thin aluminum plate. This plate is about 2 and a half " high, it runs from left to right in front of each unit and starts about a half inch down from the top . Its sound was exceptionally clear, not too bright and had a full midrange presence along with "trilliance"
The trilliance was especially notable in the violin sounds, it almost sounded like there were violins inside the box! The sound was, to put it into one phrase, ahead of its time. Well, please write back if you see such a unit. Thanks for reading.
Quing1 (KingOne)
I guess you mean this one...
hard to find nowadays!
