right guys.....dont know if you all know but there are other ways of getting those boxes delivered to your place without using royal mail......what i use is a firm called interparcel....use the book and quote system....they use either UPS...DHL...TNT... YOU CAN EVEN USE IT TO GET THEM TO COLLECT FROM THE SELLER AND DELIVER IT TO YOU AT ANY ADRESS...CHECK IT OUT HERE..

or parcel force which is not effected by the postal problems

yeah but if a seller says pickup only and wants you to arrange your own courier, you cant ask parcel force to go and get it can you

I thought that until today while arranging the collection of a Phillips D8778.I didn't use parcel force it was DHL but suspect it would work the same, when I booked the collection of the Philips the seller was the sender and I was the recipient, I checked with the agent first it makes no difference to the courier it would cost the same either way, they told me all I had to do was fill in all the sellers info address phone number etc in the senders section but put my own email so I get all the billing info, and then put my details in the delivery address section and thats it, the woman on the phone said alot people assume you can't do it this way round but again she said it makes no difference.

Royal mail works very well getting books over to Canada without damage. What's wrong with them? They seemed quick too.

stretch.........royal mail are in the middle of a strike action here in the uk.......plus i have had several items that have gone missing so i try not to use them for most items...........im sure that there are a few royal mail employees making quite a few bucks on the side . ive watched several documentaries where reporters have gone undercover in royal mail and you wont believe what goes on....there was one chap that stole credit cards to order and then sold them on to shady geezers.....and thats why i dont trust royal mail......its rife in the uk with dredit card fraud.......this is just my personal opinion

Haha, well I had no idea they were on strike. That undercover expose sounds pretty bad as well. I guess I was lucky to get my goods considering how easy it would have been to not send them over the ocean .
