Great choice of music gettoman, I am using my Technics SA-CO5 and am playing music from Freestyle Project from You Tube and it crancks some serious bass so I have to be careful.

SLAYER / MEGADETH / CESSATION OF LIFE / OBITUARY / Basicaly, Speed Thrash Metal with fast repeating double bass drums
cypress hill "i ain't goin' out like that" the base is real good but bad for the box at high volume
This might sound a bit crazy but, I actually blew out the crossover of my Carver Amazing speakers with pink floyd welcome to the machine. The start of that shakes the entire house when I have it on the Polk SDA's so I tried it on the Carvers, running on a Sunfire 625 X 2 amp and all of a sudden it stopped. Blew both fuses and 1 crossover.
Dunno about 'damage' my speakers, but a good tune for bass is 'Police Officer' by Smiley Culture and a good treble work-out can be had from Joyce Sims 'Lifetime Love' (Mantronix Jazzy Beat Mix).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfYMKcmomGgI play this on my 680 and it just sounds so lush on the bass notes - wack bass full and turn the volume to 1/4 to 1/2 and you start to feel it in your chest - if your box can do that then you have a winner
bass comes in at 1:00 minute
lmk if any one else try's this song

Bass Junkie: In Bass No One Can Hear You Scream
Went for a drive yesterday afternoon with the Shabba CD on as loud as the car system goes (600W amp driving a 15" sub & matching components). Had to have the windows down & could still feel the "pressure"
I'll go completely deaf soon...
