are ghettoblasters doing good or bad during this economy?

I have seen here in the UK lots of smaller boxes being sold at carboots just to try and make some money - people clearing out garages/sheds/loft/attics trying to make some money out of any old stuff - that and the 80's retro thing kicking off

the big boxes are being found hidden away - so when brought out, it's straight off to check out on ebay for prices

if people are short of money they will dig out the old stuff they don't want - some don't know what they have got and sell it cheap - some hear that certain gear is worth lots and put up a price that is just too high - other's see this and the word gets out - dealers start to hunt down certain gear and the prices go up


some of the grails are being let loose - it's just seeing who gets there first, collectors or dealers
