Just look at the bid history. It says it all. Some guys just think they are sooooo smart.

As a fairly novice Ebayer when it comes to all that trickery, can someone explain shill bidding in this case? I don't see any bid retractions in this auction??

I think the guy bidding put's in an automateded bid just before it end's.....happened to me a while back. but could be a scam
shill bidding is when the seller or a friend of the seller bids high so the price goes up. then sellers item sells for more
and a button missing
buyer got shafted - shill bidder just kept pushing the price up to see where the winners price would stop
just hope the buyer pulls out of the deal

That is my point, someone could drive the price high and would eventually outbid a legitimate bidder. Then that person would retract the bid to the next highest bidder. Didn't see any bid retractions.
Either way, some legitimate person really wanted this box bad enough to place a bid that high. Guess they are laughing all the way to the bank, or in this case, Paypal account..lol

This is why I avoid Ebay like the Bubonic Plauge. Granted I made a nice piece of coin on the Sayno I sold back in May, but you all know i had nothing to do with that. I was out with a fine Korean girl eating seafood when I got the call from my buddy on the final sale. Needless to say we got another bottle of wine.
Sometimes people get lucky on Ebay, but that is rare like misprinted bi-plane stamps.
