ghettoman would you rate the jc-2000 up there with a classic boombox?

I dont know much about them mate,cant buy them here in uk,they were never sold here..only in Europe (Germany) and U.S..
What i do know is that they are the biggest box,or one of..ever made,they are loud and bassy,but empty and plasticky,bit like the crown sz5100/lasonic/J1 ect..but they still can fetch quite alot of cash..

empty and plasticky? do you mean like lite and no chrome.. what would they go for now?

Here' a pic of mine(Helix Wheely 5000). Paid about $400 from another member. Bass is very deep from the 10"s. Tweeters are mediocre sounding. Definitely that largest single piecer.

You bet man. I've been sworn for over 10 years now. I just got lucky when I posted here in the wanted section. You just have to remain patient and keep spreading the word because- although these aren't the highest quality made boxes, they are rarer and definitely bragging rights. I love it for that for sure. I love my Fisher 492s and Clairtone for all around sound better.
