good morning fellow collectors,
been to my car boot this morning, not expecting much, i never do-this way im not dissapointed then.
still, i picked up a national panasonic rq-511s for a quid- needs massive cleaning and the deck doesnt work. but the old lad says he has a garage full of old radios, so im off for a look as soon as i can.
second a panasonic rx-1750le in good condition bar no aerial and the cassette door doesnt fit right- for £3.50. and hes looking out for more for me- reckons he might have a couple of early 80s jvc 1 piece boxes in his loft- cant wait to find out what they are- and wether i'd even be able to go near them price wise.
ill keep you posted. oh and by the way its my 32nd next month, and im hopefully getting a digital camera. so ill at last be able to share my boombox collection with you- in pics.

Nice Panasonic finds-suggest you go looking for a RX-CT or RX-DT series model (eg. RX-CT800 or RX-BT6xx series).

a.a- yeah i actually like these two- ive got the smaller rq-511 cleaned up now too- looks nice. had reservations about collecting these small ones before now, but these pannys are really classy, being higher models in the range at the time. ill look out for the ones you said a.a, but up here you takes what you can gets! cos boxes, even slighly smaller ones like these very rarely turn up at the boots.
