nearing the end of the trawl i was feeling some what despondent having acquired not alot in the line of mind blowing cool. some thing boot fairs often seemed to be kicking out this year (norco downhill frame for £40, 71 musicman £100 etc)
until i saw this in the distance, sphere speakers! couldnt believe my luck as i was just about to give up!
theyre a bit ropey and in need of some love but at £6 who gives a flying ....
does any one know anything about them? apparently theyre pioneer, weigh alot too!
Hail the boot fairy!
awesome speakers man!i think clairtone also made speakers similar to those they were part of a home stereo console system.

thanks for the info, drmz is certainly right they are grundigs. the logo shape is embossed on the top caps its just missing the badges
the jvc's from what i can tell seem to be a derivative of the same thing.

i think i remember either kodak or some other make used to make these speakers aswell,i remember seeing them and thinkin they looked like those 60s floor standing ash trays with a lid over the top,bet they sound nice though them, have you tried them yet andy ?? get a tin of satin black spray and give them a dust over, should make them look good again..
