I'm glad I found this place have allready found links to usefull rechargeable battery shop online just what i need.

I live in Reading ,England and for a while now have been hoping to organize a boombox owners meet up where we all tune out radios into my mate ItAl the CoOperaters big fat radio transmitter for a big party.

anyone on here from UK South ?

here's my main boombox . Toshiba RT-200S and it sounds great only thing that doesn't work is the tape record (no big deal)

im from the south, sorry to say mister though if youre from reading - youre up north.

you have to be within walking distance of the beach to qualify for south. anywhere above ashford, kent. crawley, sussex, winchester, etc etc is up north.

everyone wants to be cool and south but if you dont make the criteria youre up north. good and proper im afraid.

nice box though! there are quite a lot of northerners on here though youll be surprised amongst the americans

ah come on berkshire is south not that south but it sure as hell aint midlands.

so how am I going to organize a boombox owners meet??????

I'M FROM THE SOUTH - SURREY and if i have to walk all day long to get to the beach to prove i'm from the south, then i will billy just better not take one of my heavy boxes on the walk

brighton sounds good for me as there's more there and would look and sound cool down the lanes and on the beach/pier

Well, carrying around my boombox is becoming a bit of a habit for me now! So a meet is a no brainer for me. The question is what sort of meet were you thinking of.

There was one arranged in Florida (pics on Boomboxery) that was extremely well organised; they even had official badges if my memory serves me right.

Guys, am I right in thinking that most of the U.K members are from the north of England because if that's the case then having a southern meet won't work well. The Midlands would be a good compromise in this case.

ive got an rt 120s and its quite a nice sound for a little one. i preferr the 1 piece boxes, although i do have a couple of componenet boxes too.like yours my cassette is shot, too.

just went and collected my other bbox from my xgirlfs place and thought I'd post a pic. it's a hitachi trk-8050e

tape doesn't work on it and there's something wrong with the line in sound only comes out really quiet. the radio is fine though lound and clear! gonna get it fixed up by pacwestuk hopefully

I, too am sorry to hear about your mom.I will say a prayer for her. We just found out my grandmother (Granny) has cancer also...just found out today. It is centralized to her lymph nodes and has not spread. She is gonna start chemo after Thanksgiving.
