Any time I go onto any ebay of any where in the world and see one, or I find one, perchance, on a site......... it still does it for me!!! I might have 2 but.... to see a 9191, I am RE-in love with its looks and all.... Like the first fricking time!

The first time was in Germany, an American military base... I was in middle school, my class had a big window, a high schooler was going to school with his GF 9191 held with a guitar strap on his shoulder.... My mouth dropped, and just like in the movies... all sound and motion around me ceased ,and I knew that was the Bbox I had to have!

Oh yeah, in Germany during the cold war, we had it easy! The US government took care of us and we had all we needed with out suffering. So, as you can imagine... the Bboxes ,that were around the base (and all other bases around the world during the cold war), were kinda like dirt cheap... so I had seen hundreds of brands of nice ass Bboxes... yes, a lot! But it was that first view of the GF 9191, that wonderful day of May (I think sometime in may) that caught my heart!

Bugged the parents and got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A time ago they was´nt able to afford.

But the 9191 have become "grails", so more difficoult to get one for a fair price.

My one and only i got this spring.
It was more than a miracle to find it.
But those boxes i must hard fight for are the most liked for me.

Yep , the GF 9191 is still one of my favourites
Has a very high quality feel to it.

I got mine from Ebay for 50 €
I was amazed that i got it that cheap.

Got mine for 40.
First it was offered with 20, then because of the many calls it went up.
Then anybody must have offered more, but i was faster to take it....

I gave it a very thouroughly cleaning.
The Gf 9191 in parts.

I did the same with the GF 777 but this was way harder to do than the GF 9191

Love my 9191.
Surprised when it arrived it was a 10 cell box.
Quite a powerful amp in it, and a real nice rich sound. Def a keeper.

Yep the amplifier is quite heavy.
As far as i can remember it wasn't a HA 1392 like in most Sharps
It's quite a few years ago when my GF 9191 was all over the table

I first saw a gf9191 back in 1981 pictured in a 1978/1979 Quelle catalogue.I used to have a SONY CFS71S at that time(my first bbx and in my avatar)but the SHARP GF 9191(I remember it was listed for 798 Deutsche Mark-around 600US dollars)became a reference bbx for me-all the other bbx-s I've seen after were compared to it.I liked it than and I like it now,even I don't have one.

That pic is taken very quickly to take the GF 9191 up and place it elsewhere.I know i have to be careful no to be kicked in the ass by the biggest Sharp collector in Europe
It's still working perfectly. Hell , i guess it's the oldest box in my collection. Fabrication year 1978

I was thinking to limit my aquisitions(lack of space) but thank you EDDY and BREDGEO to encourage me to get one -it's for sure a must have.And yes ,the year and the selling price are correct.

A 9191 doesn't take up that much space.
It can be squeezed in very easely

Anyway I will get one.

Very beautiful guys!The jap version looks very good with the wite VU's and display,but I personaly I do prefer the other version(maybe because I grew up with it)
