To get one real grail? I know a lot of you have a grail in your collection, and also have many others but I'm actually considering selling my entire collection of boxes to help finance one special one. Somehow I think I would miss them all too much, but when I had the one grail in my hands, would it not all be worth it? I totally do not know. I love ALL my babies. Then again, I don't like to live without the one I really want most of all, and finances are a major concern. There probabaly is no real answer, other than to take a tally. What would YOU do if you HAD to choose?
seems a good idea until you get your grail, then it will all start again with buying more non grail box's...LOL I wouldn,t sell all my box's just a few at first and see what come's along

I've slimmed down over 30 boxes over the past couple of months, sold about 10,threw about 10,and gave some for free last week, and yesterday gave away a sanyo mini,Sharp GF6464,Sharp back2back QT360,Huge Fisher PH460,Bush 7090,Jvc Rc656,Couple More..just had too many radios so something had to be done..So my mate came and took the lot,its satisfying to have a good clear out every now and then
Thing is,for the ones i got rid of,i've gained some more..GF777,Conion C100,Sharp GF9000,Itersound J1-Jumbo,JVC PC-5..

Yup,I would sell most of my collection to get a JVC RC-M90.
I'm in a similar situation. I am limiting my collection to 10, because space is a concern for me. I had close to 20 at one time but I am focusing on bigger and better boxes.
I dont think I'd sell all my boxes to get one, but deff a couple to help finance one nice one.
I'm unloading a Magnavox D8443 and a Pana RX-5085 for a GF-777.
Not sure whats next.conion, m90, big ben, super jumbo?
I'll have to, at least, sell 2 boxes for one of these mofos!
The thing is, it will be harder and harder to decide which one goes next.
well if im honest if a jvc/victor m90 came along id consider it, or if an rc 838 id swap a couple for it. but under normal circumstances id have to say no!!!!

Good question, I've thought about this alot and have been collecting since 1999/2000.
I know I'd want at least 3 all the time. One as a cd player (though that's not as important now with my Itunes player); one for really good dubbing (some even have better quality) and at least one more as a backup.
But I've realized if I HAD to only have one, I would most want this Digital Sound Lab that started biting the dust in late '99 (was totally dead by '01). Especially since I still have some tapes recorded on it. There were two more I had as a kid that I would want back too, just for sentimental value.
So I guess I'd need at least 5-6. I would have more, but space can be a concern too lol.
