with a guy for a sharp vz2000....for 10 quid!!!!!!oh yes!
it looks to have red speaker cones- is that normal for this machine?
he says it is all working and in good order.
do these things sound good?
yes they sometime do have red speakers !! thats cheap Andy!!!
cheers- just waiting for seller to re get in touch with me. bloody shippings gonna be 14 quid though!

i wouldnt complain about the shipping dude youre getting it cheap as it is! they routinely make £100+ easy
be prepared if this is your first big box cause these ******s are massive and weigh a tonne!
ive had the misfortune of carrying awell wrapped one to the posty. it was hard work!
anyway enjoy it, and get some photos up or i will hunt you down and steal your vz
i like you bill, such a card!
you will get your photos- trust me!
anyway, not to jinx anything yet-the seller has got to go this morning and get it OFFICIALLY weighed at the p.o-so im dreading the outcome-how much does one of these son of a btches weigh anyway?shes looked on internet and arrived at a weight of 30kgs as the price level i said before- but then theres the packing materials.how do you pack something this big n heavy?stick it in a crate, or what?
on recallsharp.ru it reckons the shipping weight is 20kgs, and then packaging on top.....
anyhow it sounds like she just wants rid of it, as she did mention i could just have it if i could get it collected!in that case lets just hope my 25 quid i have spare does the trick.because damn do i want it!!!!!!!!!!
yes bill, other than my gf525 and trk8290 this would be my only BIG box.
the oldish lady says her hubby bought her it new in 1983, for a whisker under £400, and shes loved using it.she does tell me though that 2 sliders are missing for the speaker balance on top.can i get spares of these off of here, and how much are they likely to be?
anyway, once shes safely sat in my bedroom ill be happy.ill keep you guys informed.sanyo m9990 off ebay?pah-you can keep it-id rather have the vz2000!!!!!!!!
billy.the.binman - 2009-12-04 04:12
almost all vz2000 have missing sliders. you may get replacements but i wouldnt be to hopeful on that one.
they weigh alot, like 16kg maybe more, i got rid of mine ages ago, around 2004 so cant say for certain. its abut the size of a suitcase so you got a rough idea, bigger than a 525.
the best way to get it to you would be parcel2go, costs about £8 upto 20kg and they will pick it up from the lady so she doesnt have to take it to the post office.
thanks for the advice, bill-very kind of you.
never mind about the sliders-not bothered.mind you, she still hasnt rung me back yet.
yeah chaps, ive got it!
should be here in a couple of days.got it all in, delivered from darn saaf for 25 quid!which still isnt bad!
there is some bad news!seller says when she powered it up after it being laid up for a bit she says the record player is dead!ill have a look when it comes and report back to you in the tech section when ive inspected it!
but the radio, tape and both speakers work, and shes found all the original paperwork for it,so another bonus!!!!!!

might be a belt issue, seems like the obvious so far.
guess that gives you a few days to sort out a camera before i start the man hunt
yep its what i get first....the vz.....or the camera...!
no but seriously i really want you guys to see the new find.so im gonna nick (borrow) my girlf's camera and upload some quality pics.
the vz should be with me by thursday.
