Really? Funny -- I didn't share that same impression when I got mine. I mean it's loud, but nowhere near the loudest boombox I own.
Nice vw
Great bbox!
How is the sound? You wrote it's loud, but how is the bass, mids and highs??? Never heard one ...
Best wishes

my english are bad so i write it in german...

No its a Golf 1 CL...no GTI, the GTI have the "GTI"-sign on the grill
Hmmm, dass hört sich ja interessant an. Klasse Teil, find ich echt abgefahren ...

That Benz and M90 are quite nice together...
Our Benzes share the same motor.
Project Start:
Project Boombox (a GE model, sold in Germany as a Loewe) painted by the same guy who painted the car. Funny look on his face when I showed up at this shop with a boombox face, all taped off and ready for paint.

Project 95% finished:
All 190e project pics:
JT's 190e 2.3 project
I seen the JVC RC 550 for the first time back in a Ebony Magazine, the old large style , story on BoomBoxes, later on I seen one during the summer months in Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day way back in 1980 made a a impression the huge 10 inch Sub, I bought one in December 2008, ASAP I put it in the shop for fine turning, had the door adjusted, replaced belts, pinch rollers. I must say I am satisfied with the sound, this box has a one of a kind look. I just got it back I been playing everyday, these machines were built to last.
