hi all, i have been offered a jvc m80 for £80 in good condition, im not realy up on jvc's, i am due to pick it up tomorrow (local) any opinions on this box would be appreciated!! thanks.

Hey, sports fans. The m80 is a great box, very underrated. If the deck (2 motors) is working, grab it.

hi litfan, nice to hear off you, i was told the tape deck is a bit dodgy but in immac condition, i like the look of the box because it looks unique, would you still grab it with a dodgy deck??

I`ll tell you the truth, no. If play works, it may pass, but, it`s usually ff/rw that play up.

I had 2 in my collection, that, at one point, were fully working. Ah, my old boxes.

Hey, paul lad, how`s tricks. Well, i went to see the brain man last week. He say`s, the scan shows up some pressure somewhere. Ive got this valve thing in my head, he adjusted that. He said, see you in 3 months. If it`s no better, he`ll have to do a lumbar puncture. So, fingers crossed.

hi there daiwa, i grabbed the m80 got it for £70, tape decks shot but otherwise all working and good condition, it was an ebay auction with a phone number so i rang the seller and made a cash offer he accepted and took it of ebay for me, the seller picked it up at auction, he said he gets blasters all the time there, he,s offered to sell to me when he gets them, rather than stick them on ebay gonna give it a detailed clean now and hopefully post some pics later.

tape players workin dave but ffwd is out does that bother you?? it has a scratch on top but not 2 bad, apart from them 2 things the box is in top shape, the rest of it is totally flawless

any chance of a pic of the scratch....not too bothered about the tape player

hi dave, been trying to upload pics through imageshack but having no joy i will keep trying!! can,t seem to get pics uploaded dont know if it,s me being a thicko or it,s a problem with pc it,s really nothing dave it,s only an inch or so big and its only surface scratch, im not too bothered about selling anyway, was really wanting a trade to be honest

I have a mint RC M80,I find this box very unique the radio has presets which comes in handy to program your favourite radio stations, the soft touch controls are sweet as I recall along with the RC M60 first of their kind, the box has a different look, the sound is good not deep like the RC M70 however it did retailed more back in the day, you will enjoy this unit, in my opinion.

I have picked up one six years ago, I replaced the belts, pinch rollers, and motor, the unit is mint, sits pretty on my shelf, I paid $300.00 Canadian , well worth it.

the decks dead but the condition makes up for it, it even still has the ad sticker on deck door.
i always wanted one after seeing one in the luther vandross vid, never too much.
