There is a lot of weird and wonderfull names on this forum. It would be interesting to find out the reason behind these names. I allready know Lav Loo's and it's not what you think.
Any contributions. I'll start the ball rolling - my name is Adrian = Ades and i also collect pinballs = pin.

woops i didnt notice the n after the o.. because all this time i thought you were into saxophones lol.i always read "saxoman" lol sorry
Mine is Stretch. I've been called super stretch, or just stretch since I was 15 at my first job. The guys called me super stretch limo, but it quickly got shortenned to just Stretch, or superstretcher as my boss called me. Why this name? I'm roughly 6'10", so it sorta fits
.
eric
My name is because of walkmans
and as I am no mans I am walkgirl
Mine was just a random idea that came from my affinity to UK Garage music both 2step and 4x4 style.
keep it going guys this is interesting read
Because of my car. Owned it from new.
Mine stems from when I used to race semi-pro for Orange mountain bikes here in the UK. Unfortunately it was pointed out to me recently that it was also the name for a contaminated herbicide used by the U.S. military in its Herbicidal Warfare program during the Vietnam War. Nice huh?

i moved down to skeggy for a while last year and inland it,s all farmland, quiet bleak. i often seen guys out with their metal detectors and thought bet thats good fun, especially if you get a decent find
i thought about giving it a go and then i realised i wasn,t likely to find boxes 3 feet under a wheat field
anyway good name although i thought maybe you liked shooting bow and arrows and swinging swords about
guess i was wrong
D (for Dave) aiwa (for Aiwa)
I use to be soundwave eons ago when the site first opened but i changed it to blaster. both names i got from the transformers 80s cartoons, which are both my favorites characters from the show...but i stayed with blaster because the character is in fact a robot that transforms into a boombox from the series...

Hey ghetto its funny you said they use to call you ghetto because you use to carry you box everywhere...they use to call me the "maistro" because i had all the best tunes and mixes carrying my conion everywhere...lol..btw i think you can edit your name yourself though to put that H in there have you tried that? hit "go" in the upper left corner...then profile, then you see your pic, then upper left has link to edit your profile name..etc...
Mine is pretty boring, "RPM" is my initials and dj name (I spin dnb, old house/hip-hop and other random stuff) and my favorite turntable is the Technics SL-1200 Mark II.
im.out.of.hear - 2010-04-05 17:02

i tried to alter my name to add the "h" but it wont let me...
Years ago as an Internet newbie, I needed to come up with something in a hurry that wasn't related to my personal details at all (& that I could remember & didn't sound rubbish, etc. etc.). I looked around my desk & there was a Gary Numan album "Isolate". I used that along with my (& Douglas Adams') favourite number.
I do sometimes wonder what people think of me if they know me simply as "isolator42". I'm just a typical bloke called Paul from south London...
For the last two years i've wondered about your name isolator, and what it had to do with Hitachi 3D's. Now i know, nothing at all. I too have a leaning towards the 3D's since i first saw a 3D88 when they were new, but couldn't afford one while bringing up a young family.
Now i can, and have bought one off ebay, together with a 3D50. Probably most played though is a CX-W700, SUPERB bass.
Hey guys and gals, keep the avitar name expanations coming,
it's interesting reading.

Location Vienna and love good Sound!
Also there was an old radio worker company, called "WienSchall" > ViennaSound
brigadier.vytas - 2010-04-13 03:02
i was working in the company, witch is subcontractor of mobile phone network companies. I was engeneer/head of working group, or "brigadier" - in post-soviet states it's an funny and pretty stupid oldschool version of "head of working group" (brigade).I think, "brigadier" was'nt a military term in whole eastern block. Vytas is a short form of my name Vytautas.
very interesting guys
That's how they call me my friends here in venice...don't ask me why

Aha! now here's a guy with good taste
The CX-W700 does indeed have great bass . Like the JVC "Hyper-Bass Sound" boomers, it has the centre woofer tucked away inside a tuned enclosure to give rich & deeper-than-you-expect bass. However, if you blast it hard that bass will need careful tweaking down, as the noises it makes when pushed too hard are *horrible*.
if you're interested, this is the CX-W700 we're going on about:
...sorry, a bit off-topic.
now, back to the names
Very interesting thread guys

My forum name comes from a shelter cat we adopted named "Jovie".At the time I joined here,Jovie the cat was at the front and center of our attention.I needed some sort of name so Jovie was the first thing that came to mind.
My avatar is of mecha-kong taken from the movie poster for "King Kong Escapes".I Pshopped a CEC on his shoulder.

nice, Jovie, i thought it's Jon Bon Jovi:]
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN now there's a mouthfull (well that what i tell the lady's)
back in the 90's and skateboarding around, i use to hate falling off and doing my ankles in - so always tried to land on my feet and a mate said "he's like a bendy cat" well at home it stuck in my mind and so the next board i got, i drew BENDYCAT on the top - it stuick from then onwards - ELEVENTEEN got put on the end to make it even stranger
when i did a search long time ago on the net, there was only two bendycats on there - a little girl who had put up a wanted sign saying she had lost her kitten called bendycat - and then there was me - now if you do a search there are loads
but i am the original and one and only BENDYCAT
Well... I weigh 600 pounds and love dogs.
