RX-DT680 questions...

isolator42 - 2010-04-27 06:23

Can anyone tell me if the Panasonic RX-DT680 has Aux-in?

Also, has anyone got one they want to sell me? Smile

No, it does not. But you can use CD-out as Aux-In by playing a non-musical CD in 680's CD player. Though input impedance and sensitivity may be not quite right but it sounds OK. I listen to my vinyl record player via 680.

...you can find them all the time on ebay...good luck finding one as it is one of my favorite to listen to...

There are several other Panasonic bi-amped models, some are cassette with no cd, some with cd, that have aux inputs. The RX-DT680 is a great box but by no means unique in sound quality and output to other models that have an aux input.

Thx for the info Bill.
What I'm after really is a top quality 3pc with aux in, CD & tuner presets - not neccessarily Panasonic. However, the sound quality of even my low-down-the-range RX-DT610 is so good, i was thinking of sticking with the RX-DTs. I'll start another post... Smile

Indeed, I do that already with my RX-DT610, but I'm after something I can leave on for extended periods.

If you can live without a built-in cd player, this one is fantastic:

Hmm, nice.
I could put my Sony Discman on the top, but that would use up the aux-in, which I'm already wanting to share between the TV & an iPod dock...
