hi all, just stumbled across a pic of a realistic scr8 box.
i love the look of this box, looks similar to the blockbuster.
does anybody have one of these?? basically i want to know how this box performs, i don,t suppose iv,e got a cat in hells chance of coming across one here in the U.K though

its a beautiful box, mate-not as gracious as the b.b-but a nice box nevertheless-i imagine you will struggle to get one over here though, as the realistic range we got over here, through tandy, never did the really nice big ones like that.

Believe it or not, the Blockbuster and the Scr8 are long lost cousins. They share common components,but the GE has better woofers and better bass so I've read. From the back they are identical. I have an Scr8 which I like, haven't heard a GE though.

I have one and I love it. It was one of my dream boxes in 1983. It's not as powerful as some other boxes of the same size, but it's clean, has some nice features like music search on the cassette player and nice BIG LED's! It's also great on batteries. They last forever!

Oh you have to see one of these going off. The LED meters on this box are among the biggest EVER! It's a classy box. Highly recommended....and fairly available.

i had both in the past and to me the realistic sounded better than the blockbuster. sorry lav.

hey dt no worries it,s your opinion, but i can say that i can,t imagine many boxes sounding better than the GE, it really does boom

ive got a 5600-best sound of any box ive had-its a lovely big thing

I just picked up a SCR-8 a couple weeks ago and the sound quality is the best in my collection right now. More of a rock box but puts down some beats when you crank it up and dial the bass down a little. Worth every penny and the LEDs across the front are very cool.
