hi all, i just want to say that this site has changed for the worst.
i have only been a member for a couple of months and i have noticed a sharp decline in posts, and members hardly on, or dissapearing for long spells.
does it have spells like this or does it seem quiet to anybody else?? maybe it,s had it,s day and iv,e joined after the golden era so to speak
come on guys lets bring this place back to life with some great topics an pics
yes indeed LAV LOO, its quiet but here have an eye candy.
similar to the one on your avatar.!!!!
that's the spirit dt
very nice eye candy, after getting my super jumbo i am finding love for these big black boxes.
is that brand conion?? as i have seen the c100f branded conion and clairtone, also how does it perform??
yes is the clairtone brand, but i am not sure if they ever made this in CONION, its got 8inches and is super cheap, it wratles like a motherefer, but its got a very cool feature, one of the tapes plays both sides of the tape with a push of a button . i love that. its got alarm, and a clock, and of course is huge, like 1inch wider than the conion c100f, same high.
"wow" alarm same as the c100f eh, ye that tape flip button is cool too, very unusual feature on a box
sounds pretty cool, my jumbo shakes when volumes cranked up, but only a little
I was gonna ask the same question. It's quiet over here.
Some more pics of a recent find in the wild.
The Detroit M90.
an m90 in the wild s**t that,s insane

you see a pic you want, right click with the mouse, goto properties, then copy the url for the image, paste it into the picture part of your message.
im doing that from memory as i dont use a PC - so it might not be 100% accurate youll have to figure it out/
LOOKS like this is as far as this is going to go, not many people posted pics or coments. sad.!!!

LOVELY STUFF-GREAT PICS FROM EVERYONE-FANTASTIC COLLECTIONS-BIG, BIG BUZZ FROM THIS
Nice energy lav loo, you have really added a lot to the site since you arrival in March, and this post is a perfect example. Look at all the eye candy!
Master Z, your shot of the storefront reminds me of the early eighties in S.F., on the mission, going in to one of the many tiny electronics stores and just looking up at a wall of boxes and wishing I could buy them all!
I also love the camping shots MZ, I have many old recordings of us jamming our boxes at Lake Pillsbury, near Ukiah in Northern CALI. My buddy Eric's big M-70 blasting, the sounds of "Tones' On Tail","Love and Rockets", "Velvet Underground", reflecting through the forest behind us, while I'd be recording on my Aiwa 600, the stoned/drunkin' conversations and the crackling fire in the background with a full orchestra of mating frogs... ah, the good ol' days.
I'm one of those 'oldschoolers who doesn't come by as often as I should. Collecting anything is ruled by the economy. Right now, very little disposable income for boxes.
But, I've met a number of members here like DaveLC2 and Frank and it's always so much fun to meet people who dig blasters and gear. Here's a shot of Frank last time he visited Denver for CEDIA. We're messing with my litte JVC, Aiwa and BIG Lasonic (TRC-935) in the background...
My loudest blaster:
Even louder, but not quite as big as this...
Aiwa CS-600
I think we're all cyclical here. When life is good, we tend to post more. For me, I initially left the site for a long time due to losing a job and a wife. That tends to put one's attentions on other things besides collecting stuff...
I know I've made some lifelong friends here, and am always thrilled to meet people who have added so much to the site. DaveLC2 and me in San Lorenzo...
I'll always stop by and see what's going on. Sometimes I don't feel much like an "active" collector", yet I still enjoy reading about boxes. I do tend to post here in off topic more than anywhere else. Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of collecting? But it always comes around full circle. This is my longest post in quite a while. Thanks for inspiring me lav loo and Master Z!
nice to see you again Daiwa, dont be a stranger some of us still remember the good days ( 3 years ago )

and who gave you permission to post nothing? get off your arse and make an effort.
people obviously still come on here, this thread has had 350+ views already so somethings happening atleast.
Don't worry, s2g has it's ups & downs. The Boomboxery split has taken it's toll, as has Jens not being well. No worries, we'll keep it going, yeh?

I posted lots of pics of it, inside & out in this post:
