I've been doing more research on this box that was given to me and i think it's fake or maybe rebuilt?

Now what is different on mine is on the front the word lasonic is a regular font but on other boxes it's on a slant or italic.

Now here's the pic of the label on the back of other Lasonic boxes which mine doesn't have
label on back of box

Also if you look at the front of mine the headphone and mic input jacks are black on other boxes they are red and blue.

So is this a knockoff they made in china or a rebuilt unit? The guy who gave it to me owns a motel and a guest gave it to him because he had no money and needed a place to stay. It sat in the closet for roughly 15 years.

What do you think? OHHHHHH dont let me forget the antennas have red tips on them and have be replaced im told!

guess you will have to wait for some with more know than me, but had a look on this site and there is one with straight letters on the model and even on the cardboard box

Thank you for the welcome and thanks for the info. That's very interesting! Yeah i see the straight letters on the front on the last pic and the black mic and headphone jacks.

I bet your right different year it was made with slightly different things done. Just like most car manufacturers only change minor things every year.

But what about the label on the back of mine? Maybe they changed that too because why would you need a sticker saying its a lasonic trc-975 when its in huge letters on the front?

My attitude? I did absolutely nothing wrong in that forum i only had an attitude after i was given one. So i leave and im stalked and its brought up over here

i want a 975,but for me to get one from Usa would cost me a fortune,and it would be risky for damage..anyone in uk want a conion c100 swap ?

It will be very hard to get information on your box when it is apparent you are only looking to make a profit...and the bad attitude doesn't help. This site is generally used by those who love collecting...good luck with your sale
