Hello
I saw this bbox (is it one, or not? It got a tape, amp and speakers, but no radio or battery box ... so let's say it's a carry combo) a long time ago here on S2G and felt in love with it.
Now I had the chance to get one, and believe me, I was more than surprised when I did the first soundcheck. Wow, what a great and powerful sound - the bass is just about 10 cm wide, but pumps as it would be three times bigger. Great - I love it!
Also the production quality - very nice and heavy unit. I have a few Sony-FH's, also nice sounding units - but not as good as this one!
So if you ever have the chance to get one of those rare units, go for it!
Also this unit was a surprise - very nice sounding and ultra massiv Sony-bbox ...
Best wishes
TOM
never seen that unit before TOM, looks high quality, how does it compare to the cfs99??
Jow LL
I got a Sony FH-3, 5 and 7 - sound quality from the tape is better than those FH's - more bass, clear mids, briliant highs ... great! This little unit is 10 kg heavy!!!
I don't have a CFS-99, sorry
.
By the way: The other unit on the picture is a Sony XF-3000 ...
Best wishes
TOM
my appologies
i meant to type cfs88, the one i traded you for the tec
The sound of the cfs88 next to this? It's like a VW beatle next to a Porsche 911 (the Porsche is the TC-PB10!) ....
hmmm interesting, it must really kick then
I found a little info on that unit.
Looks like a really strong one!
Massive unit!
btw: what songs are on the "kinder musi cassette"?
My two little girls (2 and 5 years) are also fans of boomboxes - every new unit I get in we do the soundcheck together.
First with my tapes - I'm a fan of Queensryche, Van Halen (old once with Dave) ... but also Chaka Khan, Faithless ... or even Pat Metheny are on my playlist ...
... and after this they could listen to there "Kindermusik" ...
