Am I hearing this right? And sorry if this has been posted before but Lasonic are bringing out one of their next-gen retro boomboxes with iPHONE capabilities? There doesn't seem to be too much info even from Lasonic's official website regarding not just this apparent model but any of these next-gen models at all

Am I wrong here but the first i931 (bought mine off eBAY..only place I could find to ship one of these overseas at a reasonable price) was only compatible up to a certain type/capacity of iPOD

Excellent idea, & at not much cost to Lasonic either.
Now that might not be your main concern, but if it is expensive Lasonic (or anyone else for that matter) simply wouldn't bother.

My son has an i931 & it's inability to charge certain iPods is annoying. However we did stick an iPod touch in there out of interest & it worked. Not charging the battery & couldn't close the door, but there you go...

Im guessing all lasonic may only be doing is moving the position of the dock so it fit the iphone...i hope they've looked into that charging problem with some ipods...mine won't charge my classic pod...although i use my sd card with it more...but i like to use my pod as well at times...if they improve a few things i may get it again....

The SD card & USB make a (albeit quiet) buzzing noise when used with our i931 - the noise is the same level what ever the volume, so it's only a problem if listening quietly.

Does yours do that too?

yeah i notice a low buzzing noise when its quiet....when using the sd card...but drowns away when i raise my volume....but its very faint and doesn't bother me much....and honestly would be cool if they made an i931 one with just an SD card i use that feature frequently plus saves on the batteries even further....the sd card is the main reason i bought the i931...very unique for this type of box...but surely over all this box is the best bang for the buck...wish they improved it a bit more....

i would,nt touch any of this modern stuff, in my opinion it lacks quality and style, sure there,s been some great technological advances over the years, but the style and quality just puts me off, a bit like todays music, cheap manufactured crap

Quick question, how do the selection menus work out for SD card use. Does your box read from folders with mp3 files in them or do all the files have to bejust straight up uploaded, one step to the card?

you can have both folders full of tracks...and or long folderless playlists

Like Blaster said, for what the i931 can do, it can't be beat! Definitely needs some improvement tho, both in bass and the remote/iPod controls.

did anyone else notice the maximum number of songs it reads on the SD card is 999? I loaded up all my songs on a 32Gb SDHC card, and it only reads up to 999.

Ive yet to get a 32gb card and been wanting too for it...
i got a 16gb right now in it...

Chris, since Lasonic doesn't sell 'em directly anymore, you might have to buy that from eBay now. Then again, you'd probably get a better deal with Amazon.

I was looking on ePay but there were no white on white, I think that is the rare one....But I'm really interested to see if there will be a CHROME one!

Can't find that version on Amazon either... Yeah, the i931ww was a limited edition. I should've bought another one like I planned, just to keep it "new in box".

Hey Mono, since your on facebook, you should hit up Lasonic and ask them straight up. When is the new i931 coming out and will it take the iPhone? Also any in Chrome coming?
