As you all know,i've just paid an astronomical price for 3 boxes,so i'm just wondering what is the most you have paid for a box ?
I'm asking this in the hope that i'm not alone..
i think my most is £100 for a hitachi 8600 i bought a few years back from ryans vintage in manchester, i had to haggle with the guy to get it down off the shelf and sell it me, it paid off though
funny enough i got rid of this box a while back and im gutted, if you have noticed in the wanted section i have put a post up wanting to trade my blockbuster for one.
not a great sounding box the 8600 but i love the style of it, anyway ye £100 is the tops for me, which is not that astranomical
so for now your on your own G,MAN
Including shipping, $1250 for 1 box.
did that come with 24carrat gold knobs an switches
US$1300 for one box from a member
$2000 not including dshipping, ebay. Also $1500 plus shipping, member and a couple of $1100s too off ebay. There may be some I am forgetting...

sooo...£750 = $1200 for 2x GF999 and GF535,is that a good price or have i paid too much ?
i'm glad i have others that have paid good money for boxes,i feel better for hearing your purchases
Don't know the exact number, but probably between $800 to $900 for my Victor RC-M90 when it was all said and done... Not in the best cosmetic condition, but mechanically, it's flawless, and sonically, it's worth every penny.

Most I paid was $15.
But I did get one new back in the day about $500.

About $600 - $700 with shipping, But I've bidded way more than that.
The most I spent was $200 for an M90. I doubt I'll spend much more than that. But we'll see. I've had pretty good luck finding boxes I like locally.

£650 for a near mint conion c100 and an m90 in vgc think i paid £700 shipped from usa
about 850.00 shipped....for SHARP GF-909
I think my highest was £600 all in but i have done this on more than one occasion...
Just spent well over £1200 for a set of graphics cards and psu though for my computer....
240€ for new Kaboom, worth every cent. Vintage boxes, perhaps 20€...
well to answer this question i had to think and think hard
most of mine come from different sources - dump/carboot(recycle centre/ swap meets) and i have a couple of mates that find stuff for me and swap it for the stuff i find for them
so in answer to to the most it would prob be a mini of ebay for £27 but most i pay is £10 from the boot fairs and dump or mates
i don't have the money to get a 999 or so and will have to wait for one to turn up for £10 (soon hopefully
)
all good things come to those who wait
the most 900 for a c-100
the least 3 for a m90
HOLY DEEP POCKETS,BATMAN! I had trouble parting with $200 when I bought my kaboom and that was brand new!

$800+ and I still like it.
550 sort of but in the end it was free
...$750 for my M90. All the rest in my collection were much, much less. But for me this hobby is not about money. If it is a rare boombox that I really want I would happily pay $2000. I look at it this way...these boxes will never be built again, ever, so the joy they bring me far outweigh the cost. Besides you want a real expensive hobby try collecting watches...I spent 30k on one and boomboxes are much more fun.

That is for dang sure. I collected many things in my years from stamps to coins, to dragon statues, to models, but boomboxes is where it's at.
£200 for my 777.

Hi there Paul, hope you're keeping well.
Hell no, I haven't got married lol!!!
I moved a few months ago after a family of scumbags moved in upstairs, the racket they and their two scabby little brats constantly made nearly drove me mad.
You still got that gorgeous 777?

$300 I think....man, I'm way behind!
I plan on saving up for a dream box down the line. But it will be something that I REALLY want.
To be honest, I'm not even sure what I want. I don't have a "BIG DREAM" radio right now. I see some design's that I really like and those are the boxes I get. I know that M90's and C100F's are at the top of the heap, but I'm not TOTALLY driven to them.
However a C100F would finally end the "I need a bigger radio" desire.
I like the mid sized silver one piece boxes. But I think right now, I just want more POWER ....MORE POWER...AHHHH HAAA HA HA!!!

(**In My Best Darth Vader voice**)
Soon, the Rebel force will see the true POWER of this FULLY operational Boom Box!
If you want the biggest silver box ever made, you've gotta have the C-100F.
Hopefully, it'll be a much cheaper local Craigslist find instead of an eBay purchase 'cause the $800 to $1000 going price from their'll break your pockets.

That would be nice. The fear of spending that kind of money and the radio getting hurt in the mail would make me sick!
I might just save up my big bucks and post in the WANTED section!
"I got a $1,000, who wants it?"
Enough...I paid exactly enough to ensure I got what I wanted.
Don't feel bad or feel the need for assurance, as long as your happy, the amount won't matter.
By the way...what was the three piece unit(s) you refer to?
