how many 30 year old things can you put into a modern setting and they still look great?? answer...not many.
i was just listening to my kitchen box and thinking it looks great even though there is a 29 year gap between the box and my kitchen.
these radios look timeless no matter what environment you put them in
there is a box from the golden era that will look good in any home wether it be mod or retro, these designers of the time really had their heads screwed on
i cant imagine anything from this new digital era holding out in the way the old boxes have done
and i can,t ever imagine my home
without them, they just add so much character
i don,t expect any replies to this thread, i just felt the need to write this up
I agree with you Lav, in my opinion the Sharp GF-9000 looks great ANYWHERE.
Looking at these boxes I have NEVER gets old.
In my case, they're a welcome distraction from the sorry-ass condition my house is in.
You are absolutely right Lav Loo, I just remodeled my Theater Room in my house and made a shelf for the M90 to sit and it fits right in with the modern decor. I have a boombox in every room of the house, the backyard, the garage, and inside the gazebo of my hot tub and none of them look out of place. I consider them works of art.
I just can't go wrong with my M-90, the PH-480k, or the Rx-5700.
