howdy guys, i have recently aqquired a trc 931 through trade and i believe it,s a 1st edition model.
after seeing another trc 931 which looks exactly the same as mine apart from the mic input socket is under the lower tape deck on the other one, i have noticed the other one has sw1 and sw2 aswell and mine only has 1 sw band this is confusing me a little and i would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me here.
i have put up pics below of mine and the other one, mine is the box at the bottom. any help here will be greatly appreciated
i have also just noticed that the eject buttons on the top decks are different too

Lav,yours is the one i'm familiar with,there was a couple of variations,there was one model where the led's were on the right hand side,i think that was the first edition..i think yours came out after..

Actually, both of those are revamped 2nd edition models that probably came out in mid/late 1988. Yours is also missing a SW2 band and the eject button on the upper deck is different...

I've got no explanation for why Lasonic had many versions of that box, with mostly cosmetic differences.

what,s doing my head in a bit is the two pics i have put up are the exact same box apart from a few little things like i mentioned, im kind of thinking like you said, variations on em

Yeah, and there's a 3rd edition model that's rounded like the i931.

Probably came out in the early/mid 90's...

ye i think that,s the one G,MAN used to have, i never knew lasonic brought all these variations of the 931 out, it,s news to me this

another model from that early era
had a red design on the top left corner
instead of the yellow/purple/blue rectangles-

they ALL sound terrific !!
