Thanks for the help restoring the 9797 back to full working order. Symptoms were nothing from left channel and a really scratchy volume pot.
Traced back through amp chip all the way back to the volume pot eventually and dismantled it and repaired. BINGO!

And brian is a top fella,he helped me get my Jap-anese boxes,i appreciate that,and we had abit of fun on the way..Nice man...

just so there,s no misunderstanding here guys, i posted this up originally because someone had posted up a load of items for sale, not box related.
