I decided I needed a PDF manual for the latest incarnation of JVCs Kaboom, the RV-NB50/51/52 etc. - This is the one you can put an iPhone into, so (as is the way of things these days) I've decided to call it "iKaboom".
When I got one, I sadly found that the 2 end-woofers are now 13cm instead of the 16cm size of the older (full-size) Kabooms. Also power is quoted rather vaguely at "40 Watts" with no breakdown of which speakers get which Watts & also no qualification (THD %, etc.).
I shall now renew my efforts to bring my RV-DP200 back to 100% working order, seeing as it's one of a dying breed...
So, has anyone got one of these iKabooms & can report on its sound compared to an older full-size Kaboom?
man iso, i just got me a rv-dp100 mint in the box. paper work and everything else, from an older gent.
too bad JVC decided to go the EL CHEAPO WAY.
Man I want that odd Kaboom! Remember seeing em in the shops ages ago! Thought they were strange then and still do... drumpads? scratch jog? wtf? COOOOL!!!

would be cool to put minikaboom's guts into classic 80 bbx's body. I wonder, how those pads and jog work..Nice idea..
BTW, those flames are real el Cheapo Grande

You hang onto that Kaboom Hugo, it'll be worth a fortune someday.
Mine however is a cosmetic disaster, given to me after a hard few years work, when the CD player died. So, I'm on the lookout for a damaged RV-DP100 or RV-DP200 with a working CD player. That search might take a while...
