ok guys, basically this is about a box i can see but can,t get too and it,s bugging me because im so curious as to what it is
there is some small flats where i live, maybe about 5 storeys high, i walk my dog past these flats regularly and for the first time tonight i noticed i could see the back of a box in someones window.
i know it,s a box because i can clearly make out the back of it and the ariel sticking up.
it was dark when i walked past so the light shining made it easy for me to make out the back of the box.
anyway the flat looks really untidy with dirty windows and stuff so i imagine the box will be filthy
there is no way i can ever get to know which box it is because you just can,t go knocking on someones door saying hi there i have noticed you have an old radio in your window, do you mind if i come in and have a look because im obsessed
anyway it makes me wonder how many boxes are just sat in peoples houses flats and are just old radios to them collecting filth

from what i can make out it looks about the size of a trk 8600

i know the feeling lav loo...once i passed by a barber shop and i couldnt help noticed a box in the window...i reconized the back of it and knew it had to be a rising...went inside to look a 20/20 sitting there i was shocked...i offered to buy from him i offered him 50 bucks...he said sure take it...but i sold it a while back...i passed by again to the barber shop later on and he got himself an egg instead...lol

but if i may ask what is a flat? some kind of building or store in the UK? or loft...

wow a rising in a barbers great score BLASTER, and the answer to your question of what is a flat, it,s what i think you guys call appartment blocks, residential high rise buildings
and LASONIC i know what your saying about what,s the worst that could happen but, i think i would be too embarassed

I say go for it Lav! It could be a really good box! And don't be embarrassed. I agree with Lasonic, if it's really noticable they can hardly accuse you of being nosey! You will regret not asking, when it gets moved away from the window. You'll be wondering what happened to it, whether it ended up down the tip, etc. Is it in the top floor window? Also, if it's in a really prominent position, who can blame you for noticing if you live right near?

About the size of an 8600 from the back? We could to identify it. The next time you go past, (don't make it obvious you're staring at the window), but try to see where the manufacturers plate is on the back, if you can see it. Also, find out what colour the back is. I'm intruiged now!

well RA, i have also noticed there,s another box in another window only a couple of windows away from it it looks like it,s a maintenance caretakers room cos theres no curtains up e.t.c. this one looks like a 3d bass job though
im beginning to think these old flats are full of them
