Pretty nice boombox and very good price. I will check to see if my Kohls has this and probably buy it. AND, love the songs coming from the Ipod, Ratt and Dokken, 2 of the best from my generation. Now just mix a little Great White in there and it will be complete. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Hi ash25! Thanks for the thumbs up on my review of the Innovative Technology boombox. They aren't too bad, although they are not as well made as the original 80's ones were. The plastic is solid on them but it is not of the same quality. They are well worth the $80 with the extra 20% discount. I am not sure how long they are doing the percentage off deal though. You have to use your Kohl's charge to get the additional percentage, and it could either be 15, 20 or even 30 per cent off. They give you a scratch off card that reveals your percentage.

Kohl's is still doing the 15/20/30% off deal. It most likely ends in the next few days.

I was just in Washington,Pa. within the last hour and completely forgot to hit Kohls. Dam, well I will try tomorrow and see if they have this box. Cant wait, thanks again for the review.

Hi ash25, Did you have any luck at your local Kohl's today? I think that percentage off thing ends today (Sunday). I just looked at my Kohl's cash certificate, and it says that redemption of Kohl's bonus bucks starts tomorrow. If you get one of the boomboxes and don't like it, you could always return it. Kohl's is pretty lax in their returns policy, as long as you have your receipt.

Nice video bboxnut...i went today to my local kohls and checked out the box...i opened it up its box a bit to get a feel of it..seems like a very nifty...i may get one soon in the near future...

Yep, got 1 today. Had a 30 percent off coupon so got it for 69 bucks plus tax. Sounds pretty good, the only thing is I cant seem to change songs on my ipod with the butons on front of the box like it says in the manual. HMMMM. Well I will try a bit tomorrow as got home late from Kohls and was listening to it and never really tried any further. Good price.

The percentage off coupons are good til October 6th by the way.

wow that is sweet deal 30 percent off ...but a kohls CC card is requiered which i dont have..but thanks for the info...

WOW, you were really lucky! Good going! As far as the buttons on the front controlling your Ipod, make sure that you press the buttons firmly as I have noticed that a quick touch may not do the trick. What generation is your Ipod? Is it a Touch? I used both my new 4th generation Ipod Touch, and my 5th generation Nano in it, and both worked fine with the buttons.

Yes, unfortunately they require that you use the Kohl's credit card to get the discount. You could always apply in store, and you can use it right away. Or if you are lucky enough to know someone that has a Kohl's card, you could always give them the cash if they buy the boombox for you. Just some suggestions.

No, I haven't tried that option as of yet. I've been so busy with work and such that I haven't really had much time to play around with it a whole lot.

Ya know at that price it's still tempting. With a little know-how perhaps it could be a good base for a souped up custom job. Perhaps some bigger speakers and a basic bass and treble circuit. I could see such a thing being a lot of fun to modify.

Even without any mods I'm sure it's a fun little box. I have to admit that I like the design and the over all looks of it better than the Lasonic. It looks more like a real one and it doesn't look nearly as toy like and cheap.


Don't get me wrong as I like the Lasonic just fine. I just like the way this new one looks a lot more. Besides it had a real radio dial on it.

Actually it just occurred to me that one could just use the equalizer on their MP3 hooked into the line-in jack. Problem solved.


I know than you can adjust the audio setting on an iPod though the Lasonic so I'm assuming it would work with this one too. As tempted as I am I won't start my usual rant on Apple and the iPod. I'll just say their lack of a real equalizer is one of the many things I don't care for.

well i just got mines today!!!....awesome little box....its loud and seems well constructed with with thought out features....what sold me to get it was the lights ....and the ability to record of the radio onto SD card...i like also it has two compartments for a back up battery using two AAAs for the clock....also a compartment for the small cables it comes with the USB cable and stereo jack all in the battery compartment.....my ipod fits very secure with the internal clamps....its very lightweight and compact....not very bassy but you can add some bass to it with the IPODs Eq...sounds decent with it....only thing that on batteries i cannot function the controls on it...maybe my batteries are weak not sure....if not its ok...comapired to the lasonic i931 the lasonic thumps a bit more in the bass department....they both great machines...with bang for the buck...but this has a few more features over the lasonic..tho i wish it had the remote and hid the ac cable away like the lasonic.... other than that love it...!!!

update on the un resposive functions...yeah it was the batteries....all is well now...

The lights look cool....But it weighs only 9 lbs? Meh....

well its a small box......but allot of room for the speakers to breathe cabinet wise...

Glad to hear you got one! It sucks when they make you use a Kohl's card just to get a good deal. Not everyone wants a card or can get one.

yeah i know... they had a few discount codes and cutout coupons on line for kohls and was gonna use them..but not applicable in my kohls only in other states... but i still got it below kohls regular cost and no tax and free shipping..so the ebay deal was the next best offer for me...

yeah i was at kohls today theyre 49.99 at the register but 79.99 sale on the shelves...so it looks like it wont be 49.99 for long my guess....but did see a bunch of them....well seems lotta people dont realize how awesome this box is....im selling mine on ebay but i really dont want to but need the cash...i even had to lower it allot because of the kohl sale...but ebay still wants a kut so i really cant lower it too much then id be giving it away cause i paid much more for it...

Hey Blaster, you know you can return it to Kohl's as long as you have the original box and everything that came with it and the receipt. They even let you return items a year later, no questions asked! They don't have a time limit on their return policy.
