Sorry, no brochure, but I'll have to say I'm impressed with the PC-V77 I found for $4.00. I'm not a big fan of dual casette units, but hey..$4.00! It has a superb digital tuner and the sound fidelity is really nice...the '3D' bass can provide nice low frequenies, but I go light on the bass EQ as to not get muddy or over loaded audio. These PC models sell for a song compared to earlier JVC's.....nice bbx's.

Still want to know what year the V77 is and what they cost new ? ?

I don't have any brochures from that time period. I do have service manuals that go to about 1990 though. Were the 3D subs in the PC-V**, PC-W**, PC-X** or PC-Y** series?

as far as i know the pc-x series are the ones with the 3d woofers or ar least the pcx -100 and pcx 300 and pcx 1000 do.

Yes, they are all sounding very good with a powerful bass - the mother of all RV-Kaboom models ...

I got the PC-1000, but the sound don't impress me very much. The PC-77 got a better all over sound, and the PC-XT 5 (also a huge unit with double CD-player) got a better bass. The PC-1000 is so big (wide + very deep!) and heavy that I got problem to store it ... just offer it at ebay ...

But I was wondering how wide the range of this PC-series was - just one thing I know: for shure the PC-1000 was the biggest unit ...

Best wishes

You should put a cassette tape in front of that
and take a picture.
Will give an idea of how big it is.

To answer your question Spud, yes, at least on all but the lowest end of the V, X and Y series for PC with few exceptions, as well as some of the RC-X models.

Models like this are an example of exceptions in terms of labeling.

They changed up how the they labeled them (3D on the switch initially, then moved to the port cover later), but it's all basically the same implemented technology.

The V77 is one of the last models produced with the original Hyperbass port shell before they moved to the PC-X lineup/design.
