ok guys, a couple of weeks ago i got a friend to bid on a SANYO M9990L for me because i don't have paypal e.t.c. anyway, the box was starting bid £49.99 so i thought id'e try my luck and asked my friend to just put in the one bid at the starting price and hope for the best.
not thinking id'e have a chance i got the thumbs up that i had won it, could'nt believe it, i thought it would do atleast a ton.
anyway my friend payed for the box a couple of days later, but over 2 weeks later nothing, to put it in a nut shell, my friend has emailed the seller and guess what...no reply after a 3 day wait.
basically the guy for whatever reason has not posted the box and my friend has the messing about of claiming his money back and all.
im really peed because i thought i was getting a box i really wanted, i have,nt picked anything up decent for ages and was really looking forward to a new buy instead of keep trading to freshen up my small lot.
well no more ebay for me now
this has put me off for good, anyway a big thanks to the seller eh the t**t

I feel you that's happen to me b4 I won a lasonic from some guy on ebay and he never sent it I waited a month no reply nothing I got my money back ebay is lame

i thought i would'nt be the first person this has happened too, i don't understand these kind of people, why bother listing it in the first place??

Lav, i think the seller didnt want to give it up for little money, so he is not sending it, perhaps what you should do is report him to ebay but dont ask for the money back rather ask to post the radio, and hope for the best.

I GET THIS ALL THE TIME.......I WON A SANYO MINI FOR 99P ...POSTAGE WAS £15.....I ASKED THE GUY IF I COULD USE MY OWN COURIER....HE SAID FINE BUT THEN TOLD ME HE WOULDNT BE IN WHEN MY COURIER ARRIVED.....ANYWAY LOTS OF EXCUSES LATER HE RETRACTED THE SALE......................ANOTHER ONE I WON A HITACHI 9100 FOR £35.....THE GUY PUT THE POST AT £20.....I ASKED THE GUY IF I COULD USE MY OWN COURIER.....COS IT ONLY COSTS ME £10 WITH DHL....HE EMAILED BACK AND SAID OK.....DAY LATER HE SAID HE RE-TESTED THE BOX AND IT BLEW UP....THEN RETRACTED THE SALE.....DOES MY HEAD IN

I hate it when scumbag sellers retract or default because it's not making enough money.... if you're that bothered about making a given amount do a BIN or a reserve price. Why start an auction at 99p if you're not willing to suck it up if it sells for peanuts..? Sorry to hear that story Lav..

the thing is 2STEPPA, this guy,s starting price was £49.99, not exactly low for a box that had a couple of issues, dead tape deck, ding in one of speaker grills, and ariel tip broken off, i hope the guy relists it soon and i really hope it does,nt sell, maybe that would teach him for fu**in people about cheers guys for your posting in on this one

Because Ebay charges you more if the starting value is more. Which is total bull****, considering they already get more commission the higher your ending value is.

turns out the guy was away on holiday and is going to post the box tomorrow i should learn to be more patient in future

Sorry to hear that. I think Epay is a scam. Taking % from the selling price. And one other thing: My only Epay deal so far is a memory stick to my Akai MPC which surprise surprise, was not compatible. So i gave the guy really poor seller feedback. Then he woke up and started beggin me to change the feedback to 100% good. He told me epay takes more from "bad" sellers (with less than 100% good feedback)! He promised me some deal but i never heard from him after i changed the feedback to 100% good... so screw that
