Looking for a list of bbx's which were real performers, but had conservative, if not a boring plain jane design. maybe with features like synthesized tuning, nice equalizers, good audio, etc. but again, were kinda boring in their looks. Units that probably cost good money 30 years ago.
CFS-D7 & RX-DT707
the big 29" 707 is the ultimate sleeper
If I were a newer member on here I would be nailing one down faster than a mickle makes a muckle.
If you can find one for under $350 its a steal.
jeepers , ed -
that would be swell
but how ever would a member ever locate
such a find ?
The Panasonic DT-680 is definitely on the list. It is butt-ugly and a bland gray color. But the overall sound and bass are magnificent...and they were very expensive in the early 90's.
@ mellymelsr
i think it is not really ugly but
the pseudo-gold is not my cup of tea
is the dt707 the same size as the dt75? For some reason, I remember the dt707 being bigger than the dt75. can anyone post a side by side picture? thx!
Universum Super Sound 16000. Plain looks, but blows away most other midsizes.
Panasonic DS30 has a sweet big sound
panasonic rx dt680 - the bass is so creamy
Panasonic RX DT610 - just under the above machine
panasonic dt75 - mean looking f%*ker
The sony cfs-d7, is a total non-performer for me. Never used mine. Though, it has the usual sony quality.
rich --do you still have your lame d7
for sale ??
No ira. It went with the rest of the stash. Sorry.
Along with the silver bombeat 40
.
wow --rich, you sure DID have every box that was
worth having
Nearly ira. All the one`s i wanted anyway. Took some doing (5 years). That`s why, it was such a pain seeing em all go.
rich --to me - the great thrill of finally acquiring EACH real nice & rare box -
has been plenty rewarding --
so --selling a bunch of them so others can now enjoy them --has also been a pleasure-
----------------
i bet you could get most of your favorite dozen
back again -- someday - if you feel like it
Not without shelling some hard cash out ira. This game has been sussed.
true --but we are not talking about you replacing
that entire awesome collection -
just a dozen or so
To tell you the truth ira. I don`t think it`s possible. Some i had, i have never seen anywhere for sale.
agree about the silver tosh 40 -
because of you - at least we all have good pictures
of that most rare gem
I wonder where she is now?
