Very nice......but C-cell batteries? Should have given it a lithium, like a laptop or something.
Not gonna be cheap.
Price is pretty high, considering how cheap consumer electronics are these days. They'll have to cut it by $100 or more if they want to sell a lot of them. But, maybe that's not their goal.
They also should have given it some nice metal speaker rings.
Still looks very nice though.
In my opinion, the best thing closer to a boombox, pretty sure is powerfull, but for that kind of money i rather go for a nice 80s boombox, biggest flaw speakers need protection

Not bad at all, it can use some grills though.
I am digging the design. But like Driptip said, those speakers are vulnerable to damage.

3 speakers version - very nice looking, and perhaps sounding thang, but like u all say - where's the grilles?? And i'd change that handle..
2 speak. vers. - i think, speakers are a bit to close to eachother, but the belt looks nice.

what would have been a great idea is the moment you switch it on - black pastic look utill it powers up and then lights under the black plastic turn it into a old school look blaster under the plastic

I even like the smaller 2 speaker one, & the cube one.
The brand is cool as hell for someone like me who bought nothing but TDK tapes for about 15 years.
I agree with Lit: it'll be overpriced in the UK, if we get it at all (I had to get a Lasonic i931 imported).
I also agree with drip about the speaker protection. It's the same with subs in the car hifi world. What's the idea of leaving the drive units totally open? it's asking for trouble. Sure it looks nice,

thats really nice.......you never know it all may be coming back around.....we have seen in the uk a lot more dance troops on the tv recently so its only a matter of time before it hits the streets.......cant wait to go down to my local mall and see 5 kids doing windmills on a sheet of lino

Wow is right! Not sure if I like it over the new Altec, though... Altec seems to be a bit less expensive, too.
Not sure if it's a revival.seem's as if they want to make them again more thought is needed for sure-The Ghettoblaster That Is-Company's can and should Re/Make them again,just put in some of the new tecnology as we seen with lasonic ETC....but if they did the price would be 3 time's the cost of back then if not more because of inflation over the year's and can never replace the original......PIONEER

I showed the pic of the TDK to my wife. She was dead set against it. She thinks it looks strange and prefers the classic look.
