Good choice skip..is the TPR955 same as the 950 ? I have got a TPR950,They sound excellent for a small box,solid,bassy and loud !!

I think they are basically the same,except the 955 has a programmable music search and it has a silver aluminum control panel and chrome knobs instead of the 950's black panel and knobs.

The 950/955 rocks, it has nice "warm" bass that comes on early, and an excellent Wide setting.

I would take a conion c100 because there loud and my favorite box and I could make it to a boat if worse comes to worse 2012 2012 lol

M70 cos it's load and some one might hear and come recue me

I would choose the m70, too. 3 SW Bands!
I guess you could not play tapes to save power and you wont pick up FM...
M70 should be perfect.

Well, it is reasonable that playing tapes is way a luxury. So a plain receiver without FM would do. In that case my choice is USSR-made VEF-206 . And if I am supposed to choose among radio-recorders, then I'll pick VEF-260 "Sigma". Both feature outstanding battery life (200 hours in radio-mode for their AM sections are almost the same)
