Hi All,
Wanted to give you a heads up on an upgrade coming to the site.
We'll be providing some more features and a new look and feel to the site as well.
I think the folks who have been looking for improvements will be impressed.
Stay tuned, more news to come!
Awesome! looking forward to it.

Will there also be a chocolate dispenser?
I will see what we can do about offering a chocolate dispenser. Perhaps a beer one too!

I'm liking the idea of an upgrade,i think its exciting, but on the other hand,it hurts me to say this, but i think its too little too late,i think everyone has already left and joined the other site, and i very much doubt they will be ever comming back,i've been a member from the begining, and i was a memeber of pocketcalculator website in around 2002,and i wont be leaving here, this always was the origonal site and i dont think its fair for me to abandon it after all these years..but i think the only way this site can be saved,is if it gets recognised by new members, but problem is,i have found that when i do a google search, this site just does'nt show up,it used to but it does'nt anymore..i think it needs more licence with the search engines so when anyone types in boombox or ghetto blaster,Stereo2go will show up in search results..
Thanks for the honest feedback, ghettoman. The upgrade will have some hooks to allow for greater visibility.
too late? i dont think so, i see new members almost everyday, and hope the new look make them stay for good.
I agree 100 percent with ghettoman...but WE all fled to boomboxery due to the constant arguing ...and for quite a while it seemed a GREAT place...but there are things happening there NOW that i find quite discusting This sight is the origional and since certain mods have stepped down or dont post I think this place could flurish again..and once again stg Its REALY nice seing you taking an acting involvment in this place again..and thanks a billion for the poocket calculator boombox measeam.. nice one SIR...
i see it now....when lav says he wont be posting for a while, its because he`s been in secret talks in new york with retro and france with agent orange and wherever jens lives....he`s been traveling round the world discussing the upgrade.....its all becoming clear now.....but now lav is back in england, he`s gonna post the pictures of his worldly visits.........nice one lav, cant wait to see the piccy`s and the upgrade
Thanks for the kind words, Amiga.
The upgrade is scheduled to begin sometime after midnight (EST time) on Monday, February 7 and will run into the afternoon.
The big pain is that some network stuff also needs to happen. These changes may take some time (~24 hours) to appear across the Internet. But I'm hoping that most folks will be able to get in by Monday evening.
I suggest we use this as an opportunity to finally put the past behind us and focus on the future. In my view it's not constructive to discuss these same issues time and time again. So, whether you're a member of both sites or not, everyone is welcome here, christ, we even welcome those banned from the other site, that's how good we are
Roll on Monday and let's support this site the best we can.
with AO. Let the upgrade happen and let us all enjoy it.

Do you have the capability of reducing the TTL for the DNS while the transition takes place ? Its not the the answer to all your prayers but it will speed up propagation for DNS quieries.
If there is anything I can do to help let me know, I work in networks.
Hi DoC,
Thanks for the offer on lending guidance, I will PM you about it.
To all:

Hi Paul,
Great Job on the Update.
Amazing... in a few months I will have been here 8 years.
All the best
First I knew of the site change was when I found several odd emails in my junk folder today and thought this site had been hacked.
After adjusting all the settings and profile stuff I couldn't find the PM section until I found out they're now called dialogs and my avatar duck now looks like a flea on a postage stamp lol!
The upgrade looks very good but I'll always prefer the old board style for the nostalgia.
Indeed FuzzyDuck, your avatar is rather tiny
The Goose seems to have survived the transition reasonably intact
