Awesome stuff ahardb0dy.
I'm really digging that Kenwood DC-20, anybody here have one of these?
forgot to ad, the Sony D-7 discman is the one I have that I bought way back when it first came out, I had posted a question on the walkman chat area asking if it was the first portable sony cd player but I found out it may have been the second model introduced.
thanks alot for the efforts to post all that for us -- very interseting

i have one, and i know a few other members have them too. cool box!!
nice ads by the way, i loved the portable CD player ones.
For "Fat Dogs"
and others who say my $600.00 street price new Sansui CP-7 is overrated, do you have anything in your collection that spent time in the "Grotto" of the Playboy Mansion?!?
(Pioneers, Kenwoods, and others of the "wine and cheese" box set were there also!)
Great Scans!
thanks for all the thanks, If I find more radio related ad's I'll post them, I looked thru about 10 old magazines last night and if anyone wanted car ads from 1984 to 1987 I probably have them, lol
Great thread! I dig seeing this stuff!
Thanks for showing those ads. I too, like the Aiwa CS880 one, and I like the Sony WM-D6 player, very professional looking.
The early Discman ads are classic!
Thanks for sharing theese scans the 880 and pioneer 900 scans were exellent, i never realized how white the 900 speakers were till now cheerz.
Great Stuff! Thanks for posting those
thanks from me also
I have another Playboy guide to electronic equipment coming that I just won on E-bay from 1980, will see if it shows any other boom boxes, than I'll scan and post them.
Nice scans, thanks!
Great scans! Thanks so much! I had the Kenwood, but with the power amp and external speakers, it does not join together, so in full mode its not really portable, although it sounds good and looks cool. I sold mine last summer I think...
Thank you "ahardb0dy" I really enjoyed the reading!!
your all welcome, hopefully more to come.
WOW!!! Very nice! Very nice indeed!
thanks, the Playboy guide to electronic equipment, 1980 issue arrived today, and I scanned all the portable related stuff, still plenty of home audio, car ads, etc.
2 more real old ones, I got these from
Phantom's Reel To Reel Tape Recorder Museum at
