Hi all.I did not realise it has been so long since my last post but to say i have been busy is an understatement.Firstly i became a father for the first time on Saturday and my daughter,Amira,is absolutely gorgeous and has made my life complete.
Secondly,my M90 is now working again !!!!! and the best part is that it arrived back the same day as my daughters birth !!!!!...Fate or what ????...lol
Ok here goes, from my last post
http://stereo2go.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8306018954/m/2221072574/p/1i got to the point where the shop could not fix it and was in a dire position as where could i go,then to the rescue came James "The Guru" Phillips. If i could get it to him he could definitely get her going again, the problem,he's in Vancouver and im in London !!!!
So the mission was to find out the how much it woould cost, quite a bit as it would invove 2 lots of shipping plus repair.
In the meantime i decided to put my skills to good use and make a fitting box for shipping.
I will let the pics do the talking...
Phew,i was quite proud of my efforts but the box remained in the corner of my room (5 months to be exact)until i could work something out.
Then in April a good friend came to the rescue,he has an account with a major courier company (no names mentioned
)and said he could get it there for me for nothing.....Yes,thats right nothing...So off it went on its long journey,4726 miles to be exact...lol
James received the box safely and did not waste ay time getting things done,7 days to be precise,it had to go back for a final tweek and radio station check, but other than that it was done...And this is the best part,my friend could get it back for free also....Result !!!! ...So my radio has covered over 9452 miles (a diversion to the US,twice) to be repaired and she was given a full testing on her return and it brought back some good memories....Satisfaction indeed
So i am happy for the 2 reason and must say a huge big thanks to James, you have been a real super star for saving my M90 and now to be able to hand it down to my beautiful daughter.
Thanks for reading
Jerry
Glad to have you back, Jerry! There's nothing like your baby girl to fill you with pride. My "baby girl" just turned 8 years old a few days ago. Congratulations on the new addition to your family.
By the way, that's a very interesting packing job with the handle. Excellent idea!

Jerry

Weyland/Yutani: Welcome to the club. The crying's not so bad as she is pretty good, and as i dont go to bed till about 2am,matchsticks are not needed yet..lol
