Who owns a dual-unit alarm clock?
I bought this thing 5-6 years ago, and it must not have caught on very well because they don't make them anymore. I think it's killer --- There are buttons on each box, so you can shut off the alarm from either side of the bed!
It plays CD's too. There's not much bass, but it's nice to be able to hear music in stereo unlike most alarm clocks.
Ur the only one!
I like it! Never seen one like that before.

Reli I'd say your going solo on this one.
I like the idea but haven't seen one that covers everything I want, that includes decent bass which is where most fall flat.
i had a cd alarm clock, twas a bit dodgy though.. but i got an ipod classic that has an alarm i hook up to a hi-fi in my room, blasts me out of it every morning with sweet sweet music
The stereo sound might actually be too enjoyable to leave your bed!I don't know if that would help me as I usually don't want to get up anyway. It seems like a really nice idea though.I think a lot of great items go by the wayside because the companies producing them fail to market them in the correct way.
Actually, no you're not the only one. Many members own '80s boomboxes which have digital clocks with alarms which can wake you up in the morning. And they have Stereo sound.
Like the idea.
It reminds me of when I was a kid, when I used to spend
ages designing b-boxes on paper.
One I did (inspired by the Hitachi TRK2200, a
2 pc with one detatchable speaker), had two equally sized parts (7-8 inch cubes - I was always concerned about keeping the size down) with left & right speakers in each. One side had the tuner & amp built into the top & the other the tape deck.
I wonder if anyone made anything like this?
Taking about stereo by your bed - an old girlfriend of mine had a record player with the speakers on each nightstand by either side of her bed. When she put "A Collection Of Great Dance Songs" by Pink Floyd on, I thought I'd gone to heaven. The music did have something to do with it, I promise...
Isolator42: that's awesome.
When I was a kid I used to cut out all the coolest bits from hifi/portable photo ads in junk mail catalogues and make up monstrous ghetto blasters with all my dream features.
I remember one having full spectrum analysers for the left and right channels going the entire width of the box (had to steal the neighbour's catalogue for that one so I got two of the same pictures).
Lots of fun, unsupportive comments from parents/teachers....good times.
Rock on.
I have a Nakamichi Soundspace 3 that is a dual alarm clock. It has dual displays, rds on fm, cd, aux in, remote, and separate subwoofer. It really sounds great for how small it is!
