heres a Citizen. particularly fine one it is too. couldnt find a bigger pic im afraid, if anyone has one, please post it so we can admire it.
you may notice its got synthesizer written on the door. i wonder if Fatdog made a sticker that said "PLL sampling"", and i put it on the door of one of my radios, would people reckon it did that.
what other ridiculous technical stuff could you write on the front of a blaster?
"sub atomic particle accelerator" might be a bit overboard...
aka:
general-src8000 IBBN 7-06525
the tuner looks like it has an analogue dial ---so - whats synthesized ??
It has an analog dial but it moves mechanically and stops on its own at the press of a button.
thanks --thats a cool feature --
and the best news for you is that if i see one before you --expect a pm heads up from me -

That would make it the same type of tuner as the JVC M80, a rare feature for boomboxes.

Thanks Ira!
i thought it looked like an analog tuner, but it was just a series of LEDs, one lighting up for each area on the tuning dial? im pretty sure it has digital tuning, it just kinda represents it in an analog-looking way.
I have one of these. My older brother had one when we were kids, it was the first big box I was allowed to play with!

Whats your opinion of it james? I have been looking for one of these forever. If you give it bad marks, then I might not be so anxious.
James, could you take some shots of it? theres a limited amount of photos of this unit, and its lovely
