Hello all, I am new to this forum, although I am not A BB collector I see ( from reading on this forum) I have a popular BB, the Aiwa CS-880. I haven't seen it in a few years as it is in my dads basement in NY and I live in Florida. But we will be reunited very soon, my wife is bringing it home for me when she goes to NY in a few weeks!!!
Anyway, my question is this: years ago in the late 80's I had a 3 pc. BB, and I can't recall what brand or model it was and would like to see if anyone can ID it for me with the little info I can remember about it. As I said it was a 3 pc unit, pretty long about 3.5' wide, black, high powered, It had vertical sliding volume controls along the bottom edge and I think it had like a 9 band EQ, thought it may have been a JVC but searched E-bay and online and haven't found one that looked like it yet. Believe it was a dual cassette. Thats about all I can recall. Any ideas?? Thanks, Tony

Any other clues like it had a handle and maybe an antenna?
That may take a lot of guessing to figure out but we have some cracker jack noggins on this site so I'm sure someone will figure it out.
By the way Welcome to S2G and nice box to have, the 880 is very sweet in boombox land for sure. Post some pics when you get it, we love pics, reading can be difficult for some of us middle agers so we like to just stare at pics for a while.
Welcome aboard my friend. Pics of that baby when you get it. Tha black box started to sound like a Super Jumbo until I remember to said "3 piece". More details will help for sure.
Which one of these is it ahardb0dy?
Hello, thanks for all the pics but none of them look familiar, yes it had a handle an antenna, if I can remember anything else I'll post it. I rember A friend had the same one but I lost track of him so I can't ask but I believe it was from a flea market in Smithtown NY.
Ok I figured out which one it was, while browsing the 'decline and fall:1985-1989" pages I saw it. It was the Sharp Hk-9000 on page 3, I can agree with the description, it was heavy!! Now I just have to remember what I did with it..... thanks to all for your help.
